A Trane 20 to 120 ton air-cooled condensing unit is the leader in the split system marketplace. Designed for efficiency, reliability and flexibility, the Trane units have the most advanced design in the industry. Some typical applications include multistory office buildings, hotels, schools, municipal and industrial facilities. The air-cooled condensing unit installs easily and quickly on the roof or ground for comfort cooling applications. 

Durable Construction The unit frame of the Trane air-cooled condensing unit is constructed of 14 gauge galvanized steel. Louvered panels provide excellent coil protection while enhancing the unit appearance and strength. The unit surface is phosphatized and finished with Trane Slate Gray air-dry paint. This air-dry paint finish exceeds 500 consecutive hour salt spray resistance in accordance with ASTM B177.

System Control Options Trane offers four system control options on 20 to 60 ton units and three system control options on the 80 to 120 ton units, each using solid-state electronics. These options allow the unit to be ordered with the controls needed. In addition, the controls are factory installed, saving field installation costs.

Trane 3-D Scroll Compressors used in all 20 to 120 ton Trane split system condensing units, have 70% fewer parts than an equal capacity reciprocating compressor. The single orbiting scroll eliminates the need for pistons, connecting rods, wrist pins and valves. Fewer parts mean a longer and more reliable operating life with less rotating mass and less internal friction for greater efficiency.
